The source of the Zambezi River lies in north-west Zambia and the River travels east and south through Angola and along the borders of Namibia and Botswana before forming the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia. It can take many months for the rain water to flow along the course of the Zambezi before plunging into the Batoka Gorge as the largest sheet of falling water in the world known as the Victoria Falls.
